Privacy policy
This policy explains how Nick handles information in the Quiet Flip Clock Android app (com.nick.flipclock) and on its official website. The app and website have different technical data practices, described separately below.
The Android app
Quiet Flip Clock works offline and requires no account. The current app does not collect or transmit personal information to Nick. It has no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, subscription or payment SDKs, and does not request Internet access.
Information used on your device
The app reads system time, time zone and, when enabled, battery level to display the clock. Themes, numeral fonts, colors, language, brightness preferences and widget configurations are stored locally. These settings are not uploaded to us. Android and your launcher manage their own system and widget state.
Local storage and deletion
You can reset preferences by clearing the app’s storage in Android settings or uninstalling the app. Removing a widget removes its configuration through the app’s widget lifecycle. Android, device backups outside this app and the launcher may manage related state separately. We do not operate a server-side user profile or account to delete.
Visiting this website
The website is served through Cloudflare Pages. To deliver pages and protect the service, Cloudflare processes technical request information, which may include IP address, request URL, browser or device information and request time. This is separate from the offline app. Provider processing, international infrastructure and retention are governed by Cloudflare’s applicable terms and privacy information. We do not promise a specific provider retention period.
Cookies, analytics and third parties
We do not add advertising trackers, analytics beacons, contact forms or third-party embedded media to this website. Language selection uses ordinary links, with no preference cookies or browser storage. Fonts and images are served from this site. Cloudflare may use mechanisms needed to deliver or secure its service. See its privacy policy: Cloudflare Privacy Policy. The Android app does not integrate Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics or AppsFlyer.
Contacting support
If you choose to email us, we receive your email address and the information you include. We use it to respond to the request and retain it only as needed for that purpose and applicable obligations. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information. You can ask us to delete support correspondence, subject to applicable retention obligations. Your email provider also handles your message under its own policies.
Children’s privacy
The app does not ask users, including children, for a name, age, account or personal information. Parents or guardians can contact us about information voluntarily provided in support correspondence. Website infrastructure processing described above still applies to website visits. This policy is not a certification of child-directed app compliance.
Security and your choices
The website uses HTTPS when publicly deployed. We limit the information we request and do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. No method of storage or transmission guarantees absolute security. Depending on your jurisdiction and the information involved, you may request access, correction or deletion of support correspondence by contacting us.
External links
Links to Google Play and Cloudflare lead to third-party services. Their operators process information under their own policies. Opening an external link is your choice.
Policy updates
We will publish changes on this page and update the effective date. If future features change data practices, we will update the policy and obtain any notices or consent required before that processing begins.
